Wikileaks, Julian Assange and the US
Julian Assange founder of Wikileaks is aggressively being pursued by the US basically on any charge they think will stick against him. Personally I think it is outrageous. His treatment so far has been wrong. If he gets extradited to the US it will only get worse.

All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing and in my eyes Assange is doing the right thing. As Chomsky says, "Propoganda is to democracy, what violence is to a dictatorship".

The number of total people's data that the US want is huge, if you've visited Wikileaks, posted anything on their wall at Facebook, spoken about them on twitter in a positive or negative way you are probably a marked person now by the US. Maybe they will build some new Guantanamo Bay like jail but this time underground and just send the CIA around to snatch the wanted. My advice would be if you're on the list, move to a cave for a few years, you'll probably not be found there. especially if you can find a cave with WI-FI...
The other thing that puzzles me greatly about the whole Assange case is that whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? The allegations of rape, if found to have occured, would be deemed wrong and rightly so. However, the case has already been thrown out of a Swedish court once, for whatever reasons, but this means that until proven otherwise Julian Assange is innocent. Therefore for him to have spent time behind bars, whilst being refused bail is ludicrous. Pinnochet - a war criminal - was treated as innocent until proven guilty, Shrien Dewani got bail for alledged rape, but Julian Assange gets prison on allegations of rape before a trial - this makes no sense and is obviously a show case. The rules seem to change to suit the powers that be.
